Steps AKA Lisa, Lee, Faye, H and Claire, despite being labeled as yet another
manufactured band, quickly created quite a cult following. They
became extremely popular amongst the gay communities, schoolchildren
and anyone who admitted to knowing the line dancing style routine
to 5,6,7,8.
5,6,7,8 was their first chart appearance and holds the bizarre
claim of being the biggest-selling single of the '90s but at the
same time failing to enter the Top 10.
They worked hard to successfully avoid becoming a one hit wonder and continued to provide much fun and an incredible 3 albums in just 2 years!
