Smallville strips

Graphic novel of the teen superhero show coming out.

A new type of Smallville strip is set to come out this week. No, it's not Tom Welling getting his shirt off, for once; instead Titan books are publishing a graphic novel based on the series.

Written and drawn by Mark Verheiden, Kilian Plunkett, Roy Allen Martinez , the graphic novel tells how the young Clark Kent must rise to face new challenges in the quiet Kansas town of Smallville. Threats include a strange dinosaur-like creature, the dark intricacies of Lex Luthor's devious mind, and Clark's own burgeoning hormones.

Also out from Titan, starting later this year are companions to Smallville, by Paul Simpson.

As well as episode guides and plenty of interviews, they'll contain colour photographs. Probably including one of Tom Welling with his shirt off.
