Hitchhiker's competition

Be an extra in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy film.

h2g2, the real-life online Hitchhiker's Guide, has launched a competition to find the Earth's best bits – the parts you'd like to save if there really were plans to build a hyper spatial bypass.

They want you to send then a photograph of the place on Earth you think deserves to survive the planet's destruction. The sender of the most luscious will get to visit the set of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy film and be an extra!

The shortlisted pictures will also be shown in a gallery that will become part of the h2g2 guide.

Once you've taken your photograph, you need to forward it to h2g2Team@bbc.co.uk

Photos can be either from a digital camera or scanned in, but h2g2 must receive them electronically. Photos must be no larger than 40k in size, and should be in either JPEG or GIF format.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 25th June 2004 and the winner announced within 7 days. Please not you must be available to come to Elstree for a costume fitting on 8th July and 19th July 2004 for filming.
