Review: Alias - The Frame

The mole must act quickly to save her marriage in The Frame, this week's episode.

And we're back. This is not a duff episode at all. It's got wild parties, thrilling escapes, and an underwater chase, dodgy CGI, and fabulous, fabulous women behaving nastily.

We get to meet Lauren's mum, who's initially too good to be true ("Hi honey, I'm just off to do some shopping and bring about world peace. Don't forget to take your meds and cure cancer...") - and then, shock revelation, she shoots her own husband, just because her daughter is too wet to do it. Wow. I hope we'll be seeing more of her. She's so nasty she still wears pashminas.

This entire episode is just giddy, self-loving fun. Of course, by the end, it's completely improbable that anyone would still think Lauren was innocent, or let her near anything more secret than a kettle.

Her line of defence is to claim that she was only working for the enemy because her dad told her to. While her real reason for doing all this was to prevent her and Vaughn from splitting up. A motivation you can bet three figs won't matter in a week's time.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Garner gets to look great, wear silly clothes, and do her "grieving expression". Bless.
