Lois times two

Film series Lois to appear in Smallville.

The actress that played the character of Lois in the film series, Margot Kidder, is joining the cast of Smallville.

Talking to the Comics Continuum website, creator/producer Al Gough said that Kidder appears in the season premier and episode six. She will play Bridgette Crosby, emissary to Virgil Swann, the character played by Christopher Reeve in the series.

The news follows on from the announcement that Lois will appear in at least nine episodes of season four.

Gough also confirmed that Perry White (Michael McKean) is to return and added that Jimmy Olsen may make an appearance. Other comic book characters The Flash and Mr Mxyrptlk will also appear.
