Alias goes fourth

New timeslot, new focus and new faces.

In a recent issue of USA Today, J.J. Abrams has been talking about the new series, saying that it's a return to form for the show.

"I think we have found a way to click back into the Alias we all enjoyed," he said

"The plot became our god, which was a huge problem," he said. "It ended up superseding character."

In the new series Sydney Bristow and the team move to "a black ops division in the CIA," headed by Angela Bassett.

The fourth season also sees the return of Sydney's half-sister Nadia, played by Mia Maestro. She will feature more prominently in the new series.

Alias, which returns in the US on 5 January 2005, will now follow Abrahm's new hit show Lost on Wednesdays at 9pm.
