US detective drama coming out on DVD

Currently being screened on Saturday afternoons on BBC Two, Monk is coming out on DVD on 27 December.

For the uninitiated, Monk is one of those wonderfully quirky crime show from the US.

It stars Tony Shaloub (the nice engineer from Galaxy Quest) as an obsessive-compulsive detective who attends crime scenes with his long-suffering nurse.

Unfortunately, Monk series one doesn't come with any extras, but it's nice to know its coming out just the same.
