Fox develop moon-based drama.

Variety reports that the US Fox network has committed to a script for a new sci fi series.

Darkside sounds like it fits into the 'gritty/real-life' category of science fiction, in that takes a serious look at the downside of space travel.

The drama will follow a group of astronauts who set out for the dark side of the moon, after they receive a distress signal from the region.

Michael Dinner is the producer of the project, while script duties fall to Brandon Beckner and Scott Sampila.

The project is currently only in pre-production, but its very existence suggests that rumours that Fox had abandoned Cult fans have been grossly exaggerated.
