Alias star Jennifer Garner scoops top TV award.

Garner was honoured in the Best Female Actor in a Drama Series category at last Saturday's Screen Actors' Guild Awards.

Other cult actors also receiving a gong were Monk's Tony Shalhoub, named Best Male Actor in a Comedy Series, and Desperate Housewives' Teri Hatcher, Best Female Actor in a Comedy Series.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation scooped the Ensemble in a Drama Series award, while Desperate Housewives scooped the Ensemble in a Comedy Series award.
