Out of Smallville

Smallville guest star falls out with the production team.

Margot Kidder, who played Lois in the Superman movies, may not be returning to young Clark Kent series Smallville. Kidder has played Bridgette Crosby in two episodes of the series, and producer's had hoped to bring her back.

Talking to Metro, Kidder explained that this my not be happening.

"I was in two episodes playing Christopher Reeve's character's emissary. He acted the part of Dr Swan but I had a disagreement with people on the show about how to handle Chris's death so I backed out of doing it. They wanted to have my character announce Dr Swan's death, which I thought was exploitative.

"I kept saying: 'You can't have Margot Kidder/Lois Lane/aka this new character go on and shed tears over Dr Swan/Superman/Chris Reeve - it's just not right.'

"Chris was a friend of mine, I loved him and thought it was a really tasteless idea. It's a good series, though, and I'd like to be in it again but it's up to the producers."
