Inside the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy documentary.

This Saturday you can catch a documentary charting the rise and rise of the Hitchhiker's phenomenon.

From its humble beginnings as a radio show to the recent multi-million dollar budget movie, the documentary is a delight for fans.

The documentary also includes previously unseen footage of the late creator Douglas Adams and behind-the-scenes action from the original radio and TV series. Contributors include Adams's widow Jane, original cast members, and comedians who have found inspiration and originality in his work.

Inside the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is on BBC Two this Saturday, 7 May at 5:40pm.
