Simpsons film greenlit

Work has begun on the film version of The Simpsons.

In an interview with Contractmusic.com, Simpsons spokesperson Antonia Kaughman says that Matt Groenig is delighted with the storyline for the film and that the cast and crew are in place.

"Now we're going to get the best of both worlds, evidently," Kaughman says. "They finally worked out a movie team, a team of the writers, because we could never hire outside writers ... and they've been working on the script. So the movie won't be at the end of the series - they'll be working simultaneously."
