Starring Michael Crawford and Rita Tushingham, this British film
is now rather cringeworthy and very politcally incorrect - a romp
in which a straight laced school teacher is taught how to be a hit
with the ladies. Full of sexist jokes and gags, this film made great
use of swinging '60s london.
Named best picture at the Cannes film festival in 1965, it was runner
up at the New York film awards.
Director Richard Lester also directed The Beatles in Hard
Day's Night.
