Go Go Boots

Go-Go Boots

Honor Blackman as Cathy Gale had already made go-go boots a fashion fetish by wearing them in The Avengers. They started off ankle-height and crept up to knee-high by 1966, when Frank's daughter Nancy Sinatra scored a UK no.1 with These Boots Are Made for Walking in January 1966.

In her white go-go boots she was (almost) every man's fantasy - and soon every woman young enough to get away with it (and some who weren't) were wearing them.

In December 1990 Patrick McNee and Honor Blackman released the Kinky Boots song as a tribute to the craze.

Now hundreds of websites are devoted to kinky boots.
