Os-mania

Angel-faced Donny Osmond topped the charts for five weeks with Puppy Love and nine year old Little Jimmy Osmond searched for a Long Haired Lover From Liverpool and became the biggest British seller of the Osmond family.

The story had begun much earlier in the US where the Osmond brothers appeared regularly on the Andy Williams Show. They became famous for their squeaky clean image and were often joined by sister Marie.

Ironically, rapper Marshall Mathers III (later Eminem) and Oasis bad boy Liam Gallagher were both born this year.
