Nasty jeans were in - as long as they weren't flared anything went. In fact, the straighter
the better. Jeans were often so tight at the ankles that wearing any sort of boot under them was quite tricky.
There were drainpipe jeans, straight jeans, jeans with paint splattered
on them, jeans with sparkly bits, stonewashed jeans. And if you
were very, very cool, you had a jeans jacket to go with them!
