Although it first hit the screen in 1986, Michael Barrymore certainly
struck it lucky this in year with this game show featuring three lines
of flashing TVs and gushing contestants who were most definitely
"real people".
At one stage in 1987 it was the 5th most popular
TV show and remained in the TV top twenty for almost half the
year.
Barrymore would trade conspiratorial winks, faintly racy stories
and cries of "Awright" with the motley collection of toothless grannies
and emotionally unstable housewives tempted weekly onto the programme
by the lure of a few quid and a stylish rotisserie.
