of surf and board apparel became popular - even with those who'd never
been near a mountain or a surf board.
Quiksilver released the girls' version of their label in 1993
- Roxy - and every high school kid wanted a pair of Converse All-Star
baseball boots (for skateboarding in).
Fear had no place when you were speeding at 50 miles an hour tied
to a snowboard, avoiding trees, or bouncing on the front tyre of
a BMX. A new label encouraging ultimate fearlessness appeared in
the early nineties: No Fear.
