The Boy from Space was written by Richard Carpenter, who went on to find fame as the author of Robin of Sherwood, the definitive telling of the Sherwood Forest legend.

Dark Towers was written by Andrew Davies, screenwriter on Bridget Jones�s Diary and Pride and Prejudice.

Wordy was voiced by Charles Collingwood, who plays Brian Aldridge in the Archers. You can find out more about him on the Archers site.

Singers on the Look and Read soundtrack included Sheila Steifel and PlaySchool presenter Derek Griffiths.

Paddy Kingsland did the incidental music for some series. He also worked on the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy and Doctor Who.

Sylvestra Le Touzel starred in Boy from Space. She can currently be seen in Beast and Hearts and Bones. Other cast members include John Woodnutt and Gabriel Woolf.

There are two versions of the Boy from Space, one from 1971, the other from 1980. Both use the same film, but have different surrounding material (nouns having changed a lot in nine years).

There is a band called The Boy From Space. They don�t sing the series song, which, memorably tells us that "Space goes on forever".
