The Flax
By Justin Monjo
Directed by
Peter Andrikidis

PLOT
Aeryn is teaching Crichton how to fly one of Moya's shuttles so that he might be of more use to the team. Or, as he sees it, so that he can better control the technology he's adding to his own Farscape 1 ship. Flying very badly through a distant and thoroughly empty region of space, Crichton nevertheless manages to hit something. But it's a something that can't be seen, can't be detected - and now can't be escaped.

Back at Moya, a flamboyant alien named Staanz warns D'Argo and Zhaan of this phenomenon, telling them that it's 'The Flax' - an artificial magna drift mesh, cast throughout this sector by Zenetan pirates. Ships caught in it are immobilised and the pirates salvage anything useful they can find. Aeryn and Crichton manage to launch a message buoy back to Moya and set about trying to free themselves and repair the damaged shuttle. But even as they think they might have found a way, more problems mean that only one of them will even have a chance to survive.

They might get help from Staanz and the team on Moya, but he's got plans for D'Argo while Zhaan and Rygel are busy coping with Zenetan pirate leader Krackic.
