 By Tom Blomquist

   PLOT
Still lost in the Uncharted Territories after their sudden Starburst escape in the pilot episode, Moya's crew have found their way to a local scientist who has promised to help them get home.

He wants to take quadra helix DNA samples directly from their eyes - to actually inject a probe into the eyeball and remove some fluid. The claim is that by mapping the DNA to his species database he'll be able to pinpoint their origin and show them a route home. It's a prize better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, so everyone - except Aeryn - agrees.

NamTar and his assistant Kornata do the necessary and announce that they have the information for all of them except Crichton. He's just from too far away. The others might as well be the same, though, as NamTar offers to sell them the maps at an enormous cost. Specifically, he wants one of Pilot's arms for his experiments.

Aeryn and Crichton think that's a joke, but D'Argo, Rygel and Zhaan don't. And they cut one of Pilot's four arms off in return for a map crystal.

With their route home presumably secured, Crichton's resigning himself to being alone on Moya with Aeryn - and she's not. Aeryn returns to NamTar to ask for help to find somewhere she can go after the rest have left.

But NamTar's experiments on Pilot's arm have just failed and he sees Aeryn as a very useful backup plan. And with the map crystal only guaranteeing one map instead of the three D'Argo, Zhaan and Rygel need, they're at each other's throats.
