That Old Black Magic
By Richard Manning
Directed by Brendan Maher

PLOT
To get out of range of Rygel's Klendian flu and his melodramatic complaining, the crew stop off at a bazaar to buy some Lemsip for him. But Zhaan is soon distracted by the exotic alien Liko - and Crichton is astounded to meet a stranger who calls him by name.

The stranger entices Crichton into meeting the wizened wizard Haloth, seemingly teleporting into his lair and learning that this kindly man knows everything about Crichton. Everything.

What Crichton doesn't know is that he hasn't teleported in, he's had his spirit ripped from his body and taken inside. When D'Argo and Aeryn track him down, they find just his corpse lying in the street.

While Haloth talks of Earth and of Crichton's enemy Crais, the Peacekeeper council is instructing Crais to abandon his pursuit of Moya. Haloth can't allow that, though: he's really Maldis, an alien who has sapped the strength of the entire planet's population. He wants to feed on the conflict between Crais and Crichton so he snatches Crais from his ship and sets them against one another.

Aeryn can't blast her way in to help, but maybe Zhaan can do something. If she's capable of becoming the savage she once was.
