Paint It On

Body Art

The late 60's was a time to rid the excess baggage in your life and clothes seemed the obvious item to ditch for some people. But you can't just walk around naked can you? Well, apparently you can - if you slap on some paint and call it body art!

By painting on flowers, peace symbols and smiley faces your body can be a canvas, man. Some stores would even hand paint a one-of-a-kind dress or necklace on customers as they waited. Well at least that way you know it'll fit.

The best thing about painting yourself up was that every day your wardrobe can change, so long as you have time to jump in the shower and wash those clothes right off of your skin.

Body art would never take the place of clothes in conservative circles, but a small flower on the cheek or smiley face on the wrist did liven up the fashions of the day.
