The Village People provided a fine anthem extolling the virtues of the Young Men's Christian
Association, with absolutely no camp sexual overtones whatever.
It was sung by six men dressed as a GI, biker, cop, construction
worker and cowboy and indian.
The highlight
for kids was learning to form the letters Y M C and A
with their bodies while singing along with the disco beat.
Follow up hits
'In The Navy' and 'Go West' also became party classics.
