Biographical drama of the 1960s militant civil rights leader Malcolm
X. The film breaks Malcolm X's life down into three acts.
The first part deals with Malcolm Little's troubled childhood,
the second follows his life in prison, and in the third part Malcolm
X preaches hate against the white man until a pilgrimage to Mecca
softens his beliefs and he tries to break from from the Nation of
Islam.
The film stars Denzel Washington as Malcolm X and was directed
by Spike Lee.
