Steve Coogan's most famous creation has to be the socially-inappropriate chat show host Alan Partridge.
Armed with an Abba obsession, a terrible catchphrase ('A-ha!') and a complete lack of tact, Partridge would unconsciously humiliate and vilify both his guests and his overworked house band.
The fictional series ran and ran until Partridge finally snapped and was sent to Norwich to present an early morning local radio show.
