Century Falls: Click for More Pictures Last minute Century
Russell T Davies was commissioned to write Century Falls after another project fell though at the last minute.

Location, location
The locations used were Langthwaite, Fawcett Hall, Muker and Richmond - all in Yorkshire.

More Davies drama
After Dark Season and Century Falls, Russell T Davies says there were plans for a third series. "It was only a vague plan, a series set in 1999 (I'm so old!)," he says, "a six-parter going from Boxing Day to New Year's Day 2000. Very millennial, of course. I never wrote a word.

"There was a psychic kid with his own TV show, a girl visiting her brother in a martial-law-London, and an Asian girl whose own dad was out to kill her...! All escaping their families to live rough on the streets, and discovering why so many of the homeless are going missing... "

Who goes there
Century Falls features quite a few actors with links to Doctor Who.

What Ben did next
Since Century Falls, Simon Fenton (Ben) has worked continuously. Among the programmes he's appeared in are Band of Brothers, Hearts and Bones, and The Rector's Wife.

Catherine Sanderson (Tess) has had only a couple of roles since Century Falls, last appearing as Kelly in the 1996 film version of Jonathan Harvey's play Beautiful Thing. The third of the child actors, Emma Jane Lavin, doesn't seem to have worked since, but prior to Century Falls she appeared in The Bill and Nice Town.

Ronald Herdman (Ted Wayland) played a vicar in Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Colin can
As well as directing Century Falls and Dark Season, director Colin Cant also helmed Moondial (1990) and The Children of Green Knowe (1986) and children's sitcom Knight School. His CV also includes direction on episodes of Coronation Street and Emmerdale Farm.

Century websites
Century Falls is still fondly remembered by viewers, with some producing their own websites devoted to this series as well as Russell T Davies' other work, such as centuryfalls.co.uk, which was invaluable in the research of this site.
