Even thought the film had been out a few years by 1988, the manufacturers
released new Ghostbusters toys, probably to coincide with the release
of the less successful sequel Ghostbusters II.
There were the usual watches, bed covers and action figures (complete
with slime back-pack). You could buy a Ghost Zapper which projected
a picture of a creature onto a wall (handy) and you could even buy
a grey overall - surely every young boy's dream!
